Errata for the 2019 rulebook

This list collects together the errors found in earlier versions of the 2019 rulebook. The online version incorporates all these changes.

BAFA Regulations

As a result of a BAFA Board decision, in Regulation 2.3, the term "Barring Officer" has been replaced throughout by "Safeguarding Review Panel (SRP)".

Reg 2.3.4 now reads:

"The Safeguarding Review Panel (SRP) is appointed by BAFA to implement this Regulation. The SRP is made up of a panel of a minimum of 3 individuals. The members can come from the Board of Directors, senior volunteers with responsibility for safeguarding and expert independent members as appointed by the board."

"Barring Officer" replaced by "SRP" elsewhere in 2.3, plus once in 8.2.7.

Two references to "he" changed to "it" in 2.3.13 and 2.3.15.

A.R. 4‑1‑3:IX The scenario doesn't make sense because Team A's 45-yard line is not behind their 40-yard line. "4th and 10 at Team B's 40-yard line."

13-4-1-a Mid-year rule change to accommodate BUCS.

Add "[From 1st October 2019] The Competition Authority may require the away team to provide one of the official's assistants to act as a ball person."
